Abstract

This work is dedicated to organizing and improving the theoretical foundation of the “competitive resilience of industrial systems”. This is achieved through a critical examination and integration of existing views on the concepts of “competition” and “competitiveness”. The importance of studying competitiveness at the level of industrial systems, rather than individual companies, is determined by the need to take into account the network structure of modern production facilities and their close technological and cooperative integration, which requires a holistic approach to sustainability. In the context of global economic uncertainty, digital transformations, and the intensification of destabilizing external factors, theoretical understanding of competitive resilience becomes crucial for ensuring the stable operation of industrial enterprises. Deepening the theoretical base not only allows for more precise determination of the development directions of industrial systems but also lays the foundation for creating adaptive management mechanisms that contribute to strengthening the technological independence of the state. The main objective of the research is a comprehensive analysis of the theoretical foundations of competitive resilience of industrial systems. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were set and solved: a theoretical analysis and systematization of scientific approaches to defining the essence of competition resilience was conducted; the international experience of forming this property was studied; the factors influencing its formation and development were analyzed, with a focus on what determines the ability of industrial enterprises to maintain competitive advantages in unstable conditions; and the impact of digitalization on the formation of competition resilience was examined. The object of the study is the competition resilience of industrial systems as a complex economic phenomenon. During the work, the works of domestic and foreign scientists were analyzed, and a comparative analysis of the definitions of enterprise and industrial system competitiveness was conducted, which led to the formation of the author's perspective. It has been established that the essence of competition resilience is manifested through the integration of a number of related concepts, such as “competition”, “competitiveness”, “stability” and “resilience”. Analyzing each of these components allows us to identify the criteria that must be met in order to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. The importance of developing competition resilience in industrial systems is driven by the dynamic nature of the market environment, which requires constant adaptation, as well as the complexity of modern production systems, which need to be equipped with mechanisms to withstand negative external influences.
