PROBLEMS OF PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT AND MOTIVATION IN THE CONTEXT OF DISTANCE EMPLOYMENT
Abstract
Modern organizations, being in conditions of fierce competition, aim to conduct their activities most efficiently. Qualified and motivated personnel is the key to the success of an organization. The forced transition of the employed population to a distance work format due to COVID-19 restrictions has posed many new challenges for employers in terms of personnel management and employee incentives. The number of employees working remotely has increased by more than a hundred times during the pandemic, which determines the relevance of researching the personnel management and the effectiveness of motivation in distance employment. The article presents the results of a research of changes in the quality of the of employees’ working life in the context of distance employment and the problems that employers face in connection with the motivation of remote workers. To work effectively, an organization must not only satisfy the material and non-material needs of employees, but also ensure their involvement and loyalty. An employee working remotely should continue to feel like a part of the company, share its goals and objectives, participate in solving problems, have opportunities for self-development, professional development and career building. The person should be provided with normal working conditions and the opportunity to communicate and share information with colleagues and management. After the restrictions are removed, many employers use mixed forms of employment (providing distance work and part-time presence in the office), the results of the research have shown that this form of employment allows you to better manage personnel and their motivation, avoiding the negative impact of factors associated with the lack of personal communication in the team.
